
The Pangasinan 13th Tourism and Trade Expo 2022 was opened to the public last Tuesday (April 5, 2022) in line with the celebration of the Pangasinan Day “Agew na Pangasinan” (442nd Pangasinan founding anniversary).
The Tourism and Trade Expo was organized annually by the Provincial Government of Pangasinan to help the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Pangasinan. And to promote the One Town One Product “OTOP” Trade Program in every municipality of the province.
This year, the tourism and trade expo is conducted at the Capitol Beachfront, Lingayen, Pangasinan. And the participating MSMEs were permitted to establish their stalls for free. Various Pangasinan products were displayed and were sold at affordable prices. Among these products are Pangasinan souvenirs, puto (steamed rice cake), dried fish, chicharon, processed milkfish (Bangus) products, tapa, chips, shells arts, handicrafts, buri products such as baskets, and many more.
We also spotted stalls offering tattoo services.
Furniture making industry also participated, remember Pangasinan is also known for making beautiful and quality furniture in the Philippines.

The municipality of Aguilar promotes handicraft products such as bags, wallets, baskets, and many more, which are made out of bamboo. There are also costumes of Ethnic Igorot displayed in their booth. They explained that there are Ethnic Igorot of the Ibaloy and Kankanaey clans who settled in Sitio Mapita and those products made from bamboo are some of their work.

The Tourism and Trade Expo will last until May 1 this year simultaneous with the celebration Pista’y Dayat (Sea Festival).
If you are planning to go to the Pangasinan Trade and Expo 2022 in Capitol Beachfront, Lingayen Pangasinan. You can also have a side trip to the Abig Sining 2022 visual arts exhibit at the Casa Real beside the municipal building of Lingayen.
